Ekiti state Police Command has confirmed the release of the four persons kidnapped in Ikosu-Ekiti, Moba local government.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, ASP Sunday Abutu who made this known in a statement in Ado-Ekiti said the victims were rescued today around six O’clock in the evening.
According to the PPRO, the abducted persons were rescued after a conscious and relentless efforts by the Police, Amotekun and local hunters.
“This is to confirm that the four farmers kidnapped in Ikoosun-Ekiti on Monday 05/07/2021 have all regained their freedom from their abductors today being 09/07/2021 at about 1800HRS after a conscious and relentless efforts by the Police, the Amotekun and the local hunters”.
The PPRO said all of them have been reunited with their family members while the security operatives were still on the trail of the kidnappers for possible arrest.
It was gathered that those who were allegedly rescued yesterday according to a report were different from the persons abducted in Ikosu-Ekiti.
