Kaduna Bombing: 109 Senators donate one month salaries to survivors.

All the One hundred and nine Senators currently serving in the National Assembly have agreed to donate their one month salaries to the people of Tundun Biri Community in Kaduna State who are still mourning the dead and treating the injured following an accidental bombing of the village by the Nigerian Army.

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio made this known during a condolence visit to the community.

Senator Akpabio, who was represented by Deputy Senate President, Jubrin Barau, said the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly was disturbed by the bombing incident and would work closely with the Executive to unravel the cause of the incident, more so that President Bola Tinubu has ordered investigation into the sad development.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of the dead and speedy recovery of those injured.

The Senate President gave an assurance that the one-month salaries of all the serving Senators would be sent in bulk to the Kaduna State government to assist families of the deceased as well as take care of those injured.

Over 80 members of the community died last week while many were injured when the Nigerian Army accidentally bombed the village, an incident which arose from a failed intelligence monitoring of suspected terrorists.

Many political, religious and military leaders have been reacting to the incident while others have visited Kaduna State to commiserate with the people and government, over the unfortunate incident.
