A governorship aspirant in Ekiti State on the platform of PDP Hon. Adewale Aribisala has expressed worry over the inability of the Federal and State government to end insecurity in the country.
Aribisala who spoke during the official inauguration of his campaign team said both the state and federal governments have failed the people.
Aribisala who is the National Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is one of the strong contender for the governorship seat.
His team is to be led by a former state chairman of the PDP, Chief Bola Olu-Ojo w
Speaking on the occasion, the governorship aspirant said the experience of the political juggernaut and his personality would help the team to achieve victory in the next year election urging members to propagate the the good ideology of the PDP into the people.
While commenting on the state of the nation, Mr Aribisala noted that the security condition of the country was already in comatose and require people who know their onion to rescue the situation.
“Today we can not say we want to travel fifty, hundred kilometers without us feeling apprehension of being kidnapping, that how bad our security set up is. The present government both at the Federal and State has failed to secure peoples lives and property”.
“What we need now are people with good ideology, people with quality leadership nous who could use their knowledge to revamp the economy, ensure security and bring succor to the people” Mr Aribisala said.
He therefore advocated the restructuring of the security architecture of the nation to ensure a peaceful society
In his acceptance speech, the Director General, Chief Bola Olu-Ojo expressed his readiness to work for the emergence of Mr Wale Aribisala as the Governorship candidate of the PDP.
He said he would work with others stakeholders in order to have a smooth running campaign.
