IGP Committee Assesses Damaged Facilities at Ikere Police Stations.

The Ekiti State Police Command has received the Assessment Committee of the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu with a view to properly document the losses suffered by the force during the recent ENDSARS protest.

This is to ensure strategic planning, re-construction and re-equipment as well as for future reference.

The Committee, headed by a commissioner of police, Mr ABUTU YARO commenced their assignment from Ikere Area Command where Police facilities were looted and vandalized.

The committee later proceeded to Ikere Divisional Police Headquarters that was looted and set ablaze by the hoodlums during the protest..

The team finally visited Afao-Ikere Divisional Police Headquarters that was equally looted and set on fire by the hoodlums who hijacked the ENDSARS protest.

The Committee, during the assessment visit captured the pictorials of all the damaged done to Police infrastructure, verified the losses and damage suffered by Personnel, among others.

In his remarks, the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, Mr Tunde Mobayo thanked the Inspector General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu for his fatherly and professional role before, during and after the ENDSARS protest.

Mr Mobayo also commended the Committee for accepting to embark on this assignment, their empathy, dedication and professionalism throughout the assessment.
