
Indigenes of Ibadan, Oyo State capital residing in Ekiti State under the umbrella of Ibadan Elites have converged on the Ekiti State Officer’s Mess in Ado Ekiti to celebrate themselves and further strengthen their bond.
The meeting gave them the opportunity to interact, wine, dine and plan more on how to contribute to the development of the ancient town.
Addressing the gathering, the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Adewale Adeniran who is also a native of the town advised Ibadan indigenes to always be law abiding and ensure they visit home with their family members.

Mr Adeniran also appealed to them to always endeavour to extend helping hands to one another especially in times of difficulty.
In a remark, the President of Ibadan Elites, Ekiti State, Dr Adebola Agbaje urged Ibadan people living in Ekiti State to continue to live in peace with their host communities and consult the group during critical times.
Other speakers at the event urged Ibadan indigenes to be proud of their origin.
The programme which featured launch of Ibadan Elites Ekiti State Muffler, was well attended by prominent people including Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council, Mr Kayode Babatuyi.
