Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji has reassured Ekiti people of her commitment and support for women in the state.
Dr Oyebanji gave the assurance in Ado Ekiti, while playing host to the Female Traditional Chieftaincy Title Holders (Eyelobirin).
The first lady appreciated the group for the visit, saying her office would ensure collaboration with them for the overall development of the state.
While promising the women that she would table their request before Governor Abiodun Oyebanji, the first lady solicited for their prayers and support for the success of the current administration.
Speaking on behalf of the team, the President of the Female Traditional Chieftaincy Title Holders in the state, Chief Bolanle Owolabi, said the purpose of the visit was to solidarise with the wife of the governor and pledge their support to the Oyebanji administration.
She therefore called for more recognition for the Eyelobirin title holders both at the local government and state level, noting that they are capable of mobilizing the women folk in their various communities towards galvernising support for the government on its various developmental projects.
