A community Leader in Omu -Ekiti, Oye local government area of Ekiti state, Chief Maurice Ilori has been kidnapped.
Chief Ilori who is the Edemo of Omu-Ekiti was abducted on his way from Ayede-Ekiti to his hometown yesterday around half past seven in the evening.
His wife who was in the car with him escaped the attack, while a middle aged man who met them at the scene of the incident was marcheted, but escaped with wound.
According to One of the Elders in the town, Chief Segun Olaifa who spoke to Radio Nigeria on telephone said the Police and other security agencies had mobilised their members to go after the abductors.
Chief Olaifa maintained that the abductors have not contacted the family.
