Oyo State government says it has put necessary machinery in place to arrest the prime suspect that escaped from police custody.
Government also promised to restore peace and harmony in Akinyele community.
The Governor of Oyo State, engineer Seyi Makinde stated this today while speaking at the security Summit held with stakeholders in Akinyele local government council.
Governor Seyi Makinde, who was represented by special adviser to the Governor on security matters, Mr Fatai Owoseni opined that security agents should work together with community policing to apprehend criminals and put a stop to their nefarious activities.
Mr Owoseni however expressed happiness that stakeholders in the security network at Akinyele local government have agreed to work with the police to check rampant killings in the community.
In a remark, the caretaker chairman of Akinyele local government council, moniya, Mr Taoheed Adedigba appreciates Governor Seyi Makinde for beefing security at Akinyele local government.
Mr Adedigba also expressed sadness over the escape of the prime killer suspect at Akinyele local government, adding that everything would be done to apprehend him.
Two of the dignitaries at the summit, Dr Fatunde Fakayode and Mr Sheu Tijani both suggested that government should not be handling cases of hardened criminals with levity.
