Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to even development of communities in the state.
Dr Fayemi, stated this in Ado Ekiti while receiving a delegation from Ido-Ile Community led by its traditional ruler, the Olojudo of Ido-Ile, Oba Aderemi Obaleye in his office.
The Governor, who assured the community that govt would look into their demands, explained that the state was experiencing tough times and was only trying its best to ensure that salaries of workers and pensions were paid as and when due.
He stated that most of the road projects going on in the state were being done through the support of Development Partners like World Bank and other interventions .
He however promised to explore the posibility of additional resources from development partners to enable govt has more fund for road projects
Earlier, the olojudo of ido ile Oba Aderemi Obaleye commended Governor Fayemi for his various support to the community including the release of N5 million towards the ultra modern palace project, channelization of parts of the community and support for the community Town Hall project among others.
The monarch solicited the Governor’s intervention in the construction of the remaining 4Km of the Ido-Ile – Okemesi road which was awarded in 2008 and continued during the Fayemi first administration but abandoned by the immediate past administration.
