The Ondo StatGovernor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has removed the state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Kola Olawoye.
To this end, the governor has subsequentlly appointed a human rights lawyer, Mr Charles Titiloye, as the new Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.
This was contained in a statement issued in Akure on Monday by His Chief Press Secretary, Mr Segun Ajiboye.
However, there was no reason given for the removal of Mr Olawoye.
According to the statement, Titiloye’s name will soon be forwarded to the state House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The governor thanked the sacked commissioner for the services he rendered to the growth of Ondo state.
He also wished him success in his future endeavours.
