Members of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, NSE have been urged to be innovative and move in line with global trend in the practice of the engineering profession.
NSE Chairman Ado-Ekiti branch, Dr. Oluwasegun Aluko gave the advice while reacting to the theme of this year’s world engineering day “Engineering Innovation For a More Resilient World” in Ado-Ekiti.
Dr Aluko noted that some of the challenges facing the country such as scarcity of fuel, among others could be addressed if Engineers were more innovative and get themselves aquinted with new trends in their chosen career.
He hinted that various steps were being taken to make the Ekiti state branch of the NSE resilient and rank among the best in the country.
On his part, the director, Ekiti state Ministry of works, Dr.Tope Fatukasi implored engineers across the country to synergise and work towards having a great Nigeria.
A Professor at the faculty of engineering, Ekiti state university, Professor Tunde Adeyemo also stressed the need for engineers to be diligent in their career so as to contribute to the development of the country.
