The Vice Chancellor Designate, Federal University Oye Ekiti, Professor Abayomi Fasina wants all the Competitors for the position and other stakeholders in the University to join hands to transform FUOYE to a world class University within the shortest possible time.
Professor Fasina who stated this in Abuja while receiving letter of Appointment from the Pro Chancellor and Chairman Council, Dr Mohamed Lawan Yahuza, said that only God could enthrone and dethrone, hence the need for all to demonstrate high spirit of sportsmanship.
He appealed to all well-meaning individuals in FUOYE, Academics and the society at large to sheath their swords and work to actualise the lofty dream of making the University a citadel of excellence.
Professor Fasina who promised to prioritize the Staff welfare, academic excellence and infrastructural development, said upon assumption of office, he would embark on dialogue, consultation and reconciliation in order to run an open-door-policy administration and promote meaningful development.
The FUOYE Vice Chancellor Elect, maintained that no stone would be left unturned to promote peace, ginger staff to put in their best at all times and put smile on the faces of workers across units, sections and Departments in the University.
Professor Sunday Abayomi Fasina who rose to the position of Vice Chancellor FUOYE had served in many capacities in both Ekiti State university Ado-Ekiti as HOD, Dean, Deputy Vice Chancellor and won several prices and awards on research works before his elevation.
