The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Oye Ekiti, Professor Abayomi Fasina says it is committed to the Government COVID 19 protocols and will not hesitate to sanction any staff or student who violates the guidelines.
In a statement through the Director, Cooperate Affairs of the University, Mr Adeyinka Ademuyiwa, Professor Fasina directed all staff and students to always put on the facemasks and compulsory use of hand sanitizer.
Professor Fasina said that as part of measures to prevent the spread of COVID 19 among the university community, management had provided hand washing facilities, sanitizers and infrared thermometer in strategic locations across the institution’s campuses.
The Vice Chancellor listed other measures to include monitoring of lectures, virtual lectures for larger classes enforcement of compliance by the University’s Committee taskforce on COVID 19, display of more banners, and posters for more sensitization as well as strict compliance.
Professor Fasina who assured the public of safety of their children and Staff, urged the Staff to shun distractions that could jeopardise the goals of the university.
