As part of efforts to reposition the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Ekiti, the state chairman of the council, Mr Rotimi OJOMOYELA has inaugurated four different committees.
The committees are, Ethics and Disciplinary, chaired by Amos Ogunrinde, Sports led by DEJI Ogunsakin, welfare headed by Bola Lawal, Advocacy, Training and Strategy with Mr REMI koleoso in charge.
At the ceremony in Ado Ekiti, Mr Rotimi OJOMOYELA said the appointees were carefully selected across the various chapels based on their antecedents and contributions to the growth of Ekiti NUJ.
He charged them to see their appointment as a call to service and justify the confidence reposed on them.
Mr OJOMOYELA particularly advised members of the Ethics and Disciplinary committee to fish out fake journalists and non members using NUJ stickers in the state.
He sought the cooperation of NUJ members to the appointees so as to perform creditably.
Responding on behalf of others, the chairman, Ethics and Disciplinary committee, Mr Amos Ogunrinde thanked the NUJ state executive for the honour accorded them, promising that they would not disappoint the union.
Two ex- officio and Special Assistant on Media to the NUJ Chairman were also sworn in.
The ex- officio were, Yakub popoola and
Kayode Jegede while Wole Balogun was the SA to the chairman.
Members of the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee are, Amos Ogunrinde as chairman,
Babajide Agbeyo became the , Secretary as well as Soyemi Olayinka
Toyosi Eleyimin and
Gani Salau.
Sports committee has Deji Ogunsakin as Chairman and
Akinkuolue Akinrelure Secretary, while members are
Charles Ademolaju,
Banke Fajuyi and Deji Egbebi
Also, the Welfare Committee is headed by Bola lawal and
Emmanuel Nwosoro was the secretary while Opeyemi Jooda, Benjamin Akinola and Femi Fadaunsi are members.
The Advocacy , Training and Strategy Committee has Mr Remi Koleoso as Chairman and Olaniy Alade as secretary, while members are
Dare Daniels, Joke Ajayi and Mr. Asubiojo.
