Former Vice President of Nigeria Society of Engineers Advises Women on Income Generation.

Women, especially those in the Engineering field have been urged to seek another source of income to compliment their regular take home.

A former Vice President of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, Engineer Margaret Oguntala gave the advice in Ado Ekiti while delivering a lecture at the end of the year meeting/Get together and workshop organized by the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, APWEN, Ekiti State chapter.

Engineer Oguntala who delivered the lecture virtually said women should not depend on a single means of generating income in order to compliment the efforts of their husbands.

The Guest Speaker also told the women Engineers to work hard by improving their skills to function optimally.

In her welcome address, the Chairperson, Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, APWEN, Ekiti State Chapter, Princess Folasade Agbeleoba-Adebayo noted that the forum afforded them opportunity to appreciate God for His protection on members of the Association in the outgoing year.

She pointed out that engineering could add value to quality of life and development of the society, hence the girl child should be encouraged to study the course.

Princess Folasade Agbeleoba-Adebayo said the Association had been able to promote the course of women Engineers and create platform through which they could inter-relate with women of other professions in Nigeria.

Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of the Association in Ekiti, Mrs Owoyemi Helen enjoined members to be more active in the programmes of the association, adding that they should put into practice the lessons they learnt during the lecture.
