The Federal Government has announced suspension of accreditation of Degree Certificates from Benin-Republic and Togo.
The decision followed an investigative report by a Nigerian Journalist on how to bag Cotonou University degree in Six Weeks.

The statement says further that the withdrawal of recognition of Degrees from Benin-Republic and Togo will remain in force, pending the outcome of an investigation involving Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs of both Nigeria and Benin-Republic, as well as Department of State Services and National Youth Service Corps.
The Ministry decried such acts and called on the general public to support all effort geared towards assisting the committee set up for the purpose, to find lasting solution to the manace.
The statement also revealed that the Nigerian Ministry of Education has commenced internal administrative process to determine the culpability or otherwise of its staff.
