The Federal Government has launched a new central data management system portal that will improve the power supply in the country.
The new version is known as the Nigerian Sustainable Energy platform SE4ALL Version 3.0. is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development and co-founded by the European Union.
The Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu during the launch said the project explained that the new platform would assist utility operators, policymakers as well as stakeholders in the electrification in planning and implementation of power supply projects.
Mr Aliyu pointed out that the advancement recorded by the Nigerian electricity support program, NESP necessitated the need to launch an emergency for all platforms, Version 3.0.
The SE4ALL focal person in Nigeria, Faruk Yusuf expressed the need for the power sector to lead in digitisation for critical social amenities like schools and hospitals to enjoy abundant power supply.
In their messages, the Charge De Affairs, German Embassy to Nigeria, Martin Huth and Head of Green and Digital economy European Union delegation to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Inga Stefanowicz said the platform would help energy market intelligence, decarbonise and improve industrialization.
