Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to tackling the menace of building collapse in the country.
The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji stated this at the 45th Anniversary of the Nigeria Building and Road Research Institute, held in Ota, Ogun State.
Nnaji commended the Institute for providing solutions to dangers of building collapse, bridge and road failures, housing deficits, among others, since its establishment in 1978.
The Minister promised the institute more of Federal Government’s assistance through funding, to be able to show commitment towards actualising the objectives of the present administration.
He described the institute as a goal-getter, solution provider, economic builder and the country’s image maker.
