Nigerians have been reminded to accord priority to their health through constant medical check.
This is to prevent terminal disease like cancer.
Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi stated this during cancer awareness walk in company of some female political office holders at the Government House in Ado Ekiti.
She explained that government on his part would continue to raise awareness on cancer among its citizens as well as provide medical facilities for regular check and prevention.
Erelu fayemi who maintained that cancer treatment was expensive noted that such had made a lot of families to go bankrupt adding that prevention is better than cure.
“If people go for medical check early enough many forms of cancer can be detected before it becomes a serious problem” she said.
The wife of the Governor therefore appealed to people of the state to take advantage of government health facility when necessary before it becomes too late.
She urged residents of the state to always adhere strictly to medical advice and desist from seeking traditional and spiritual solutions to cancer treatment.
