…Donates Jerseys To Youths Of His Community
The Special Assistant to Ekiti State Governor on Mobilization (South) Hon. Olalekan Ijidale has promised to continue to do everything within his capacity to develop sporting activities at the grassroots in line with the agenda of Governor Kayode Fayemi.
Hon. Ijidale stated this while reacting to the victory of the team of his home town Agbado Football Club at the just concluded Unity Cup of Gbonyin Local Government.
Agbado Ekiti FC won the completion after defeating Ode Ekiti FC in a penalty shoot out just as two of its players Bunmi Bamtuyi and Musa Haruna emerged highest goal scorer, and Best Goalkeeper respectively.
Speaking with journalists in Agbado Ekiti after the final match was decided, Hon. Ijidale who had earlier donated set of jersey to the players explained that the present government would continue to show more support for youths who have passion for any sport.
According to him, sport has become a veritable means to boost the economy of any nation and as well create jobs for the youths.
He said ” I am happy that our youths brought the cup to Agbado, I am indeed proud of them.
“For sometimes now, I have been supporting the team financially and morally, just few days ago I donated a set of jersey to them which I believed was one of those things that boosted their morales.
“What I have done is just a tip of an iceberg I have the intention to do more because our Governor loves sport and has been working hard to develop sporting activities in schools and at the grassroots.
In an interview, the Head Coach of Gboyin Local Government, Ajayi Akinola Sanuel appreciated Hon. Ijidale for his support saying the youths were really motivated by the new jerseys he donated.
According to him, Hon. Ijidale has been supporting youths in the community not minding their political and religious differences saying such was a very good example to be emulated by all appointees.
In an interview, the captain of Agbado FC Bamisile Ajayi also showered encomium on the governor’s aide for the overwhelming support he gave to the team which assisted them to triumph over other teams.
Bamisile Ajayi confirmed that it was a very good thing to play with the new jersey saying the kind gesture was a great motivation for them.
