Nigeran youths have been challenged to take the advantage of government investment in agriculture to engage in agric business to ease their financial burden and reduce food deficit in the country.
Ekiti state Governor Dr kayode fayemi gave the challenge in Ado Ekiti at an interactive session with Youths tagged “Ekiti youth lets talk agric business”orgnaised by the Minstries of Sport and that of Agriculture.
The Governor noted that some youths have refused to become a liability due to their engagement in agric business with the aim to change the perspective that agriculture was limited to illiterate.
Dr Fayemi told the youth that agriculture could be the bedrock of that nations economy if properly practiced and managed by key players in the sector.
He noted that importance of youths in nation building cannot be over emphasized said his govt would always encourage youths in agriculture to enable them to be self reliant..
The Commissioners of Youths and Sports Mr Micheal Awopetu and his Agricultural counterpart Dr olabode Adetoyi said the idea of the session was to exposed the youths in ekiti state to agric businesses which could make them excell..
