The Victims Support Fund Taskforce on Covid-19 has donated one million naira each to the families of the seven air force officers that died in the Abuja plane crash last February.
Presenting the cheques to their families in Abuja, the Chairperson of the taskforce, Mrs. Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji said the gesture was to provide succour to the family members.
She extolled the contributions of the fallen heroes in enhancing national security.
Mrs. Akerele-Ogunsiji said those who served the country with their lives deserved to be honoured for their selfless service to fatherland.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao, represented by the Director, Policy and Plans, AVM Ekeh said the force would engrave the contributions of the late officers as a memorial.
He gave assurance that the entitlements of the victims of the airforce plane crash would be given to their families.
The Chief of Air Staff said the military was proud of the fallen heros and would do everything possible to support their families.
The representatives of the families of the deceased airforce officers expressed gratitude to the victims support fund taskforce on covid-19 for the intervention.
