…As DAMLEK Events Academy Graduates First Set Of Trainees

Unemployed youths in Ekiti State have been advised to venture into catering services so as to become self reliant.
A former Coordinator of National Directorate of Employment, NDE in Ekiti State, Dr. Abimbola Oni gave the advice during the first set of trainees at DAMLEK Events Academy, a division of DAMLEK Catering and Rental Services Ado-Ekiti.
Dr Abimbola affirmed that catering services was one of the lucrative and veritable businesses suitable for youths urging graduands to establish themselves with little resources available to them, rather than trying to start big, which according to her might be difficult.
Addressing the graduands, the Director of DAMLEK Events Academy, Mrs. Stella Akinola said the Institute was established to teach people in catering and hospitality, as part of ways to reduce unemployment in the country.
Mrs. Akinola gave assurance that she would continue to mentor and support the graduands until they were able to stand on their own.
She pointed out that her passion was to train people to become Experts in the trade.
Also speaking, an Event Planner, Chief Sade Akinrinmola, popularly known as “Sade Gbonyin” urged the graduates to utilise the knowledge they gained during their training and advised them to abide by the etiquette of the skill they learnt.
Chief Akinrinmola commended the efforts of DAMLEK for giving catering and hospitality services a facelift in Ekiti State.
One of the graduands, Mrs. Adebola Omotoso appreciated the Director of DAMLEK Events Academy, Mrs. Stella Akinola for her roles as a Mentor and Trainer.
The graduating students who were ten in number acquired skill in decoration, catering and cake making, pastry and sugar craft.
