EndBadGovernance: No Protest in Ekiti

There is no protest in any part of Ekiti state despite the commencement of the planned Nationwide protest in some states across the country.

Radio Nigeria correspondent who moved round, has it that residents of the State are going about their normal business activities unhindered.

Commercial vehicles, motorcyclists and tricyclists are plying various roads even though private vehicle owners are not many.

Moving round Ado Ekiti, the state capital, business activities are on-going at various markets including Okesa market, Bisi market, Irona market and Oja Oba market, though a bit below the normal daily hustling and burstling.

However, no financial institution in Ado Ekiti opened for business transaction while the Automated Teller Machines, ATM of various banks are dispensing cash.

At the state secretariat in Ado Ekiti, workers were seen at their duty posts while
many artisans and business owners are also at their shops.

Also, the venue designated for the planned protest at Ijigbo Street in Ado Ekiti was empty.

Security agents were stationed at strategic locations within Ado Ekiti and other towns in the state while some are patrolling the streets.
