The crisis among Traditional Rulers in Moba Local Government have been resolved by the Ekiti State Government.
The issues resolved are disparity in salaries of the Obas and usage of
the title paramount ruler of Moba Land.
While mediating on the matters,, the Ekiti State Deputy Governor Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi said that the laws recognizing the stool of Oore did not include paramount Ruler of Moba land, hence the need for Oba Adeayo Adeagbo to stick to Oore of Otun-Ekiti.
Otunba Egbeyemi urged the Traditional Rulers to always toe the path of peace while relating to people in the society.
The Deputy Governor also helped the Traditional Rulers to arrive at an appreciable percentage, having allowed the Obas to submit their sharing formulas and adjusted their salaries.
In a remark, the Oore of Otun-Ekiti Oba Adedayo Adeagbo who had earlier agreed on the figure, appreciated Ekiti State Government for the prompt intervention.
Oba Adeagbo called on other Traditional Rulers in Moba to sheath their swords and join him in moving the local Government forward.
The Onigogo of Igogo Ekiti, Oba Sunday Adewumi who led other Traditional Rulers on the Petitions to Ekiti State Government, expressed joy at the logical conclusion reached on the two matters raised by twelve Traditional Rulers in Moba Local Government.
About two months ago, twelve Obas in Moba Local Government petitioned the Oore of Otun-Ekiti Oba Adeayo Adeagbo for arrogating to himself the Oore of Moba land, while the Oore of Otun-Ekiti quarried the decision of the Obas to change the percentage of salary earning by the Former Oore Oba Adedapo Popoola during his demise.
