Ekiti to Benefit More SDGs Projects

The federal government says Ekiti state will benefit more under its Sustainable Development Goals SDGs projects.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire stated this while inaugurating some of the 2018 SDGs projects carried out in four local governments in Ekiti state.

The Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs projects were carried out in Ijero, Moba, OYE and Ekiti Southwest Council areas of Ekiti state.

Princess Orelope-Adefulire said more projects would be facilitated through the SDG for the benefit of other local governments.

Princess Orelope-Adefulire stated that President Muhammadu Buhari was committed to the development of Nigerians, hence the establishment of the programme aimed at impacting positively on the lives of the people.

In his speech, the Chairman of Sustainable Development Goals in Ekiti state who is also the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Biodun Omoleye noted that about sixty five projects were undertaken in the four local governments.

Mr. Omoleye said the state government had taken proactive steps to ensure that the projects were adequately monitored and maintained.

Speaking on behalf of the benefiting Communities, the Ojurin of Ijurin-Ekiti, Oba Joachim Adeyemi and the member representing Moba constituency in the state House of Assembly, Mr. Adeyemi Ajibade appreciated the federal and state governments for their efforts at developing their towns.

Some of the projects inaugurated include Primary health centre Ijurin, Ijero local government, Basic Health centre Osuun, Moba local government and a block of three classrooms with two offices in Isan-Ekiti, Oye local government, among others.
