Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, which is an arm of the Ekiti State Police Command in collaboration with the vigilante have arrested three suspected kidnappers.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sunday Abutu said Officers of the RRS and the Vigilantes trailed the suspected kidnappers
inside a deep forest in Ijan-Ekiti which eventually led to their arrest.
According to Abutu, the arrested suspects are Abdullahi Musa-38 years, Abdullahi Ali-25 years and Abdullahi Suleiman-19 years.
“During interrogation, the suspects confessed to have engaged in series of kidnapping operations in Ekiti State including two kidnapping incidents in Ikere-Ekiti”
“The suspects further disclosed their syndicate comprising seven men with four others currently at large”.
ASP Abutu said efforts were ongoing for the possible arrest of the fleeing suspects.
