The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye has passed on.
He died at a tertiary health institution in the state during a brief illness.
Recall that a section of the High Court building in Ado Ekiti collapsed on the Chief Judge barely a year ago while he was in his office.
He was later flown abroad for treatment and after the medical trip, he hardly appeared in public functions.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, Registrar of Ekiti State Judiciary, Adegoke Olanike described the late Chief Judge as a respected jurist who dedicated his life to upholding the principles of fairness, equity and justice during his lifetime.
The Registrar said that the contributions of the deceased Chief Judge to the development of the judiciary and Ekiti State at large were immeasurable as he left an enduring legacy.
