The Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has resigned from Governor Kayode Fayemi’s cabinet.
Mr Oyebanji’s resignation was contained in a letter dated December 3 which he submitted to Governor Kayode Fayemi.
The resignation takes effect from today, Tuesday December 7,2021.
He cited his decision to contest the forthcoming Governorship election in the state as reason for his resignation.
Accepting Mr Oyebanji’s resignation letter, Governor Kayode Fayemi thanked the former SSG for his remarkable contribution to his administration since inception in 2018, wishing him well in his future endeavour.
Governor Fayemi recently issued a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Yinka Oyebode directing members of his cabinet who have political ambition ahead of the 2022 Governorship poll in Ekiti state to resign their appointment latest December 18, 2021.
