Ekiti Records Two More COVID-19 Deaths

Ekiti state has so far recorded two hundred and six cases of COVID-19 since the outbreak of the virus in the country on the 27th of February this year.

The commissioner for Health and Human services, Dr Mojisola Yaya- Kolade made this known in Ado Ekiti while briefing newsmen on update about COVID-19.

Dr Yaya- Kolade explained that 104 of that Coronavirus patients had been treated and discharged while 98 others were still receiving treatment at the isolation centre in the state.

She added that Ekiti had also recorded two more deaths, thereby increasing the number of deaths to four in the state.

The commissioner expressed the readiness of the state government to establish two more COVID-19 testing centres, which would be cited in Ekiti North and South.

Dr Yaya- Kolade appealed to those who had symptoms of COVID-19 to make themselves available at the treatment centre so as to curb the spread of the virus.

On his part, the coordinator COVID-19 Taskforce, Professor Mobolaji ALUKO advised the people of Ekiti state to continue to observe all preventive measures of COVID-19 in order to stay safe from the pandemic.
