Ekiti State has joined other States like Lagos and Oyo, to witness first rain of the new year 2024.
The rain was witnessed in some parts of Ado Ekiti, the state capital, Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government and Aramoko in Ekiti West Council Area.
The rain which was heavy in some parts of the state lasted for more than thirty minutes.
The first rain in the year started around ten O’clock in the night and subsided at half past ten in several areas while it continued raining in some other areas till few minutes before 11 pm.
There had been signs of imminent rain in Ekiti State in the last few days.
