Ekiti state government has organised an afternoon of tribute for a former special Adviser to the state Governor on Basic vocation and Tertiary institutions, late Francisca Aladejana.
The afternoon of tribute which was held in Ado Ekiti attracted top government functionaries, politicians, family members and well wishers.
In an exhortation, Government House Chaplain, Father Lawrence Adetola urged Nigerians to always prepare for the kingdom of God by amending their ways saying death might occur anytime.
In a word of tribute, the deputy Governor otunba Bisi Egbeyemi who represented the Governor, Dr john Kayode fayemi said the deceased would continually be remembered for her contributions to the development of education sector.
Also the wife of the Governor, Erelu Bisi fayemi commiserated with the family of the late professor, urging people to rededicate their lives for God in order to achieve eternal kingdom.
Others including Head of Service, Mrs peju Babafemi, commissioner for education, Mrs Bimpe Aderiye, chairman, Teaching Service Commission Babatunde Abegunde among others described the deceased as selfless, highly dedicated to service of humanity, disciplined and humble adding that her death remained a rude shock to entire people of the state.
Born in mid fifties in Ado Ekiti, the professor of science education, Francisca Aladejana had attained various political positions in the state and academic level both at college of Education ikere Ekiti and obafemi Awolowo university ile Ife until her death on may 17, 2021.
