Crisis rocking the Ekiti State Chapter of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP has continued to deepen.
This followed the emergence of two persons as state Chairman.
One of the factions appointed Former Chairman of Ado Ekiti Loccal Government, Mr Deji Ogunsakin while another faction picked a one time chairman of PDP Repositioning Group in Ekiti state, Mr Alaba Agboola as state leader of the party.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, the PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr Raphael Adeyanju said the State Executive Committee of the party ratified the appointment of Mr Deji Ogunsakin as new chairman of the party after 10 of the 12 executive committee of the party in Ekiti Central Senatorial District backed his appointment.
In another statement, the Deputy Chairman of the party, Mr lanre Omolase said Mr Alaba Agboola was appointed as the chairman of the party during the State Executive Committee meeting of the party held in Ado Ekiti.
Meanwhile, security operatives have been stationed at the PDP secretariat in Ado Ekiti to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
