Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ekiti State Command has promised continuous collaboration with Radio Nigeria Progress F.M Ado-Ekiti in curbing insecurity, kidnapping and other criminal activities in the state .
The new State Commandant of the Corps, Mr. Sunday Agboola made the promise while playing host to the Management of Progress F.M Ado Ekiti, led by the General Manager, Dr. Adebola Agbaje.
Mr Agboola noted that the media play a crucial role in addressing societal challenges such as creating awarness , promoting dialogue and fostering understanding , hence the need for the collaboration.
Praising Dr Agbaje’s leadership abilities, the NSCDC boss urged her to remain steadfast in her commitment to promotion of societal values through her medium.
He said the Corps would not relent in its efforts at ensuring that Ekiti is safe for the inhabitants.
Earlier, the General Manager, Radio Nigeria Progress F.M Ado-Ekiti, Dr Adebola Agbaje noted that the station is committed to promoting initiatives that would actively combat crimes in Ekiti.
She called for synergy between Ekiti State NSCDC and other security stakeholders.
The General Manager who recalled an attack on a Radio Nigeria station during which hoodlums injured members of staff on duty, appealed to the NSCDC boss to help in providing adequate security for the station’s personnel and properties .
