It was an atmosphere of praise and testimony at the end of the year thanksgiving and carol service organised by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ekiti state command.
During the programme held at NSCDC headquarters Afao road Ado-Ekiti, the Corps mass choir, Nigeria police choir and that of Nigeria Correctional Service rendered various melodious songs to praise God.
In his welcome address, the Chaplain of the Command, Bishop Clement Olu-Abifade said the thanksgiving service is held annually to acknowledge the mercy of God in the lives of the Civil Defence Officers.
The State Commandant of NSCDC, Mr. Solomon Iyamu thanked God that no life was lost despite the challenges of the outgoing year.
In a sermon, the Bishop of Ekiti Oke Anglican Diocese, Right Reverend Isaac Olubowale urged people to always be grateful to God for watching over them.
Bishop Olubowale said thanking God would bring more blessings, as God derive joy in appreciation.
