New executive members of Nigeria association of Women Journalist, NAWOJ, Ekiti State Chapter have been advice to be of good characters and always work towards the development of the association.
The National vice president of the association, South West zone, Mrs Adeeola Adekunle gave the advice during the inauguration of the new executive members in Ado-Ekiti.
Mrs Adekunle who note that the NAWOJ was established to support and protect female journalists’ rights, urged them to uphold the association ethics.
In her remark,the National vice president NUJ, Zone B, Mrs Ronke Samo implored the officers of the union to justify the confidence rinposed in them while the Chairman, Nigeria union of Journalist ,NUJ, Ekiti chapter, Mr Kayode Babatuyi encouraged them to work together in unity
On her part, the former Chairperson of the association, Mrs Fatima Bello lauded members for theirs support during her tenure and expressed optimism that the new executives would perform well.
In her acceptance speech, the Chairperson Nigeria Women of Journalists, Mrs Adewumi Ademiju, noted that she will work for the betterment of the association.
Other executive members are Comrade Funmi Falae who is the General Secretary, Comrade Funke Oyerinde-Treasurer and Comrade Funke Adeigba Financial Secretary.
The program was attended by veterans which include the former Chairmen of NUJ in Ekiti Mr Tai Oguntayo Akogun and Mr. Rotimi Ojomoyela.
