Ekiti LCDA tightens border against insecurity.

No fewer than Sixty three local security men have been deployed to fifteens discovered flash point and red zones across the Ajoni Local Council Development Authority, LCDA in Ekiti State and the borders of Kwara and Kogi States.

The local security networks drawn from hunters, Oodua People’s Congress OPC and Vigilante Group of Nigeria code named operation EBBORAC, would henceforth ensure that the porous exit and borders linking the state are safe to prevent bandits and kidnappers from terrorising the people of the LCDA

Addressing the local hunters, Chairman Of Ajoni local council, Prince Micheal Ogungbemi told them to complement the efforts of the Police in minimizing the nefarious activities of criminals around the territories of Rural Communities which had been the hub and den of banditry and Kidnapping activities.

Prince Ogungbemi charged the recruited local security Officers to adhere to instructions given to them in order to be effective, efficient and disciplined security agents.

The Ekiti State Commandant of Rapid Response Squad, RRS CSP Marcus Ogundola who conducted the session on combat and intelligence gathering said the
initiative would further improve security and ensure effective policing.

Also the Divisional Police Officer, Ikole Division, Mr Kain tasked the local security men to be professional and thorough in their operations to check activities of bandits in the areas.

Unknown gunmen have Been terrorising communities in the LCDA where series of kidnapping have been recorded.
