The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced physical registration of voters across the country.
The exercise is meant for those who have earlier completed the online registration.
In Ekiti State, the exercise is taking place at INEC offices across the sixteen local governments of the state with one centre each and two venues at the commission’s state office in Ado Ekiti.
Speaking with progress FM reporter, INEC Head of voter’s Education and Publicity, Alhaji Taiwo Gbadegesin implored eligible voters who have completed the online registration to make themselves available for the physical one and to be orderly.
Alhaji Gbadegesin however warned that there would be no registration by proxy, saying that anybody caught would be handed over to the police for prosecution.
He announced that the online registration would continue simultaneously with the physical capturing of those who had earlier took part in the online exercise.
