Wife of Ekiti State Governor Erelu Bisi Fayemi has promised to support the female football club of the state, Queen FC, to attain its place of pride.
Erelu fayemi made the promise in Ado Elkiti while receiving the representatives of the female football club.
She said the girl child needed to be given adequate attention in their choosen carriers and develop their skillful potentials to make them responsible citizens.
Erelu fayemi maintained that such would also boost their self esteem, encourage self discipline and promote core values among them.
The wife of the Governor who is the matron of the football club encouraged the members of the female football club to remain focused in their carriers as government was ready to assist them in their academic pursuit.
The representatives of the female football club led by the commissioner for youth and sport development, Mr Michael Awopetu had earlier said members of the football team needed government’s support in the area of hostel accommodation, a functional Bus, football kits among others which would propel them to perform optimally.
The visit featured the unveiling of the football club jersey and its presentation to the wife of the Governor.
