Ekiti state government has solicited the collaboration of corporate organisations, Non Governmental Organisations and well meaning individuals in ensuring good future for the youths.
The state Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi made the call during the opening and swearing-in ceremony of 2020 Batch B stream 1A Corps members posted to Ekiti state.
Addressing the corps members, Governor Fayemi, represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Mr. Michael Awopetu said the task of moulding the youths to become leaders tomorrow could not be left to the government alone.
The Governor advised the youths Corps to exhibit high level of responsibility, patriotism, loyalty and commitment to the growth of the Nation.
Dr. Fayemi urged them to participate actively in all the the orientation activities for them to have smooth and fulfilling service year.
In the address, the Coordinator of NYSC in Ekiti state, Mrs. Mary Chikezie enjoined the corps members not to engage in immoral acts capable of tarnishing their images.
Mrs. Chikezie noted that covid-19 protocols are being observed on the camp, saying the NYSC, in collaboration with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control have screened all members on the camp.
She appreciated Governor Kayode Fayemi and other agencies for the support given to the NYSC in the state.
