The Ekiti State Government has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Minister of National Planning and Elder Statesman, Chief George Ayodele Ogunlade in Ilupeju Ekiti, Oye Local Government.
Leading the Government delegation to Ilupeju Ekiti, the Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Dr Habibat Adubiaro described the late Elder Statesman as a leader who had contributed in no small measure to the development of Nigeria.
Chief Afuye said that Chief Ogunlade’s blueprints to the country’s development would continue to speak for the state, his families and Ekiti indigenes among the commity of states in Nigeria.
She however called on the political office holders and natives of Ekiti to sustain the virtues of excellence, prudence, hard-work and integrity which Ekiti people were known for.
During the visit, a special prayer was offered for the families of the deceased, and the state government.
While appreciating the Ekiti State Government for the honour done on family of the late Minister, the two Wives of the deceased, Chief Folasade Ogunlade and Chief Bola Ogunlade prayed for the success of Governor Oyebanji’ administration.
