Ekiti Gets New INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Professor Mahmoud Yakub has deployed, Dr Olubunmi Omoseyindemi to Ekiti State as new Resident Electoral Commissioner.

Dr Omoseyindemi who hails from Lagos State assumed duty today at INEC state office in Ado Ekiti and he was welcomed to Ekiti by the management team led by the Administrative Secretary, Mr Adedapo Aderibigbe.

Speaking on behalf of others, Mr. Aderibigbe assured the new REC of unalloyed cooperation and support of members of staff throughout his tenure in Ekiti.

Responding, the new Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Olubunmi Omoseyindemi emphasized the importance of integrity, trust, and teamwork.

He urged the members of staff to adhere to the core values of INEC while carrying out their duties.

Dr Omoseyindemi later held meetings with the management team, the 16 Electoral Officers, and he was later conducted round the offices by the Administrative Secretary. Mr Aderibigbe.
