Ekiti gets new Athletics Association Board as Osetoba seeks commitment of members .

The Technical Advisor to the Governor on Sports Development in Ekiti State, Dr Mrs Olusola Osetoba has enjoined all stakeholders to rally round the State Athletics Association, to improve Track and Field, both in terms of administration and human capacity.

Dr Mrs Osetoba stated this at the official inauguration of the Association at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado Ekiti.

She commended members of the board for accepting to serve, most especially the Chairman, Senator Yemi Adaramodu.

The Technical Advisor urged them to use their experience, expertise and resources to ensure that Athletics in Ekiti occupy its rightful place in the country.

While Speaking, Chairman, Athletics Association in Ekiti State, Senator Yemi
Adaramodu pledged his full support and commitment to advancing athletics in Ekiti and ensuring moral and financial backing during his tenure as chairman.

This development is a significant boost to the state’s sports sector, aligning with Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s efforts to promote youth development and sports.

Notably, Senator Adaramodu has been a strong advocate for youth and sports development, previously charging athletes representing Team Ekiti to perform their best and make the state proud.

Also at the event were the two Special Assistants to the Governor on Sports, Hons Tunde Adesanya and Kola Owoseni, Management and officials of the State Sports Commission, as well as other stakeholders.
