To this end, government at all levels have been advised to stop paying lip service to the fight against crimes but takes decisive steps against criminals to serve as deterrent to others

Mr.Olaiya Emmanuel and Mrs.Cecilia Bimbo in their separate submission at a forum in Ado-Ekiti wondered why somebody would be caught with human heads, fetish substances and dangerous weapons and the only remarks from authorities would end at the investigation being carried out on such matters.

Mr.Emmanuel and Mrs.Bimbo were of the opinion that any society where criminal activities were encouraged would always witness challenges and other acts that could lead to breakdown of laws and order.

Another respondent, Evangelist Dare Joshua said criminalities such as kidnapping, robbery, banditry and others were thriving in Nigeria because perpetrators of such crimes continue to enjoy life even if they were arrested because of their connection or failure of government to do the needful for a peaceful society
