Clerics want Nigerians to live exemplary leadership style.

Nigerian leaders have been reminded of the need to emulate the exemplary leadership style of Jesus Christ who devoted His entire life to imparting on humanity.

A cross section of Clerics in Ekiti State made the call in their messages to commemorate this year’s Easter celebration.

First to speak was Pastor Taiwo Agbanigo of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Solution Parish Ikere Ekiti who said that a good leader must be passionate about the well-being of their followers.

Pastor Agbanigo equally stressed the need for Christians to tailor the characters on biblical injunctions as laid down by Christ.

Also, Reverend Taiwo Ogundare of the Grace of God Anglican Church, Bawa area, Ado Ekiti urged leaders at all levels to be selfless and show love to those around them.

He noted that when love existed between leaders and the citizenry, the society stood a chance of becoming a better place.

Prophet James Omitade of the Holy Trinity Authority Prophetic Church International, Ajilosun Ado-Ekiti told religious leaders to always tell their congregations the truth without having the mind of deceiving them.

Prophet Omitade urged people to uphold truthfulness and love for one another.

Also, the Pastor in charge of the Bride Assembly Church, Idolofin, Ado-Ekiti Professor Rotimi Sanya enjoined Nigerians to embrace the spirit of forgiveness and humility as displayed by Jesus Christ.

Professor Sanya said if the citizens of the country could learn from the lifestyle of Jesus Christ who lived a simple life, the Nation would witness unprecedented growth.

On his part, the Resident Pastor of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, TREM, Ado-Ekiti, Reverend Femi Olanipekun advised Christians to use the occasion of Easter to retrace their steps back to God to enjoy His Grace.

Reverend Olanipekun said for people to have a success and fulfilled life, they should move closer to God.

In his Easter message, Cannon Kehinde Atobi of Emmanuel Anglican Church Ijero-Ekiti wants faithfuls to always obey and follow the words of God.
