As part of its responsibilities to sustain infrastructures in the society, Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, Ekiti State Chapter has paid a technical visit to some of the ongoing construction projects in the state.
Some of the places visited by the association includes, Ekiti Cargo Airport, Construction of concrete works at Ilawe Ekiti and Igede-Ilawe-Erinjiyan road.
In an interview, the Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, Ekiti State Chapter, Engr. Ayodele Ayegbusi noted that the visitation was to supervise and monitor materials used, professional capabilities of companies engaged in the constructions among others.
According to Engr. Ayegbusi, the visit indicates that the projects were awarded to professionals who adhered strictly to the specifications of the association.
He appreciated the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji for priortizing the welfare of Ekiti people.
The Chairman noted that other construction projects which would be visited by the institution includes Omisanjana-Ikere road, Moferere-Odo Ado road, Ado-Iworoko-Ifaki road, 3rd Extension GRA, Ado Ekiti road among others.
