Aramoko-Ekiti, the headquarters of Ekiti-West Local Government in Ekiti State, is still reeling and mourning the death of two under-aged girls whose corpses were discovered at different bushes around the town.
In an interview with Progress FM in Aramoko-Ekiti, father of one of the victims, Mr. Akinleye Fatoki said the family have been searching for his eighteen-year-old daughter since September 20.
Mr. Fatoki said a video circulating on social media showing a suspect arrested in Ogun state, who said that he had killed two teenage girls in Aramoko-Ekiti, led to the discovery of his daughter’s corpse at a dumping site beside Areti river, along Alafe road, Aramoko-Ekiti.
The father of the deceased, who denied any relationship between the suspect and his daughter, said they have reported her daughter’s disappearance to a nearby police station before the online video surfaced.
The body of the two deceased teenage girls have been evacuated by security personnel for autopsy and burial amid wailings by concerned residents.
A video circulating on social media had shown a suspect, who identified himself as Ogunaike Philip, who was arrested in Ogun state, confessed that he had killed many teenage girls including two in Aramoko-Ekiti.
