Nine persons out of ten wedding guests have lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident at Ekpon junction on the ever-busy Agbor-Ewohimi road in the Igueben local government area, Edo state.
The guests were travelling from Benin city to Ewatto in Esan South East local government area of Edo state to attend a wedding ceremony of their friend and relation.
However, the bus conveying them collided with a trailer carrying cement to the South-Eastern part of Nigeria, killing nine of the guests on the spot.
The deceased, who were neatly dressed, did not make their way to the hospital emergency room but straight to the mortuary.
The only survivor is currently on oxygen at the intensive care unit in one of the hospitals in Edo central.
Most of the deceased were said to have hailed from Ewatto in Edo state.
It was gathered that both families are now in serious mourning as they lost their children in the accident.
