Terrorists have killed four policemen and three others at a local weekly market in Yar Bulutu village of Sabon Birni local government area of Sokoto state.
Confirming the attack, spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Command, in Sokoto state DSP Abubakar Sanusi said the four mobile policemen lost their lives while trying to repel terrorists attack but were overpowered by the bandits.
When contacted, the member representing Sabon Birni South at the state House of Assembly, Sa’idu Ibrahim narrated that the terrorists launched the attack on 20 motorcycles carrying three persons each.
The terrorists set fire on the police vehicle and dragged one of the policeman’s body into the burning vehicle.
