A Chieftain of All Progressives Congress in EKiti State Barrister Abraham Olugbenga Ojo says the emergence of a Lawmaker Representing EKiti Central Senatorial District Opeyemi Bamidele as Senator Majority Leader, will attract more opportunities to the economy and political development of the state.
Barrister Ojo in a statement made available to newsmen also hailed members of the majority caucus at the National Assembly for adopting Opeyemi Bamidele as the leader of the 10th senate.
The legal Practitioner and international diplomat believed that EKiti has again demonstrated to the outside world that leadership is about selfless service and not by brigandage.
He urged the new Senate leader to justify the confidence of his colleagues with the new position as a ranking senator with worth of experience to ensure robust legislation.
Barrister Ojo was of the view that the emergence of Senator Opeyemi Bamidele was the product of the support the people of the Ekiti State gave to President Bola Tinubu in the last election which has made the state to be considered by the party hierarchy. Barrister Ojo, further stated that he firmly believes that Senator Opeyemi Bamidele will never disappoint his colleagues, constituents, state in the administration of his new office as he has always maintained an integrity, loyalty and commitment to national unity and cohesion in all his undertakings.
